Granesque

Well, I was exactly right. Spring/Summer 2008 is right on course with my predictions -- right down to the weight of the heels. I really think that if given the right conditions, I could be a kick ass Fashion Forecaster but lets face it-- it would be a waste of talent.

And now for something completely different...

Every girl should have a good, sturdy, pair of hoop earrings. Be they gold or silver, large or small (preferably large), a good pair of hoops can be the little jolt that a previously blah outfit needs. Paired with an over-sized pair of granny sunglasses and you're gold!

Speaking of which, I must admit that there are a perfect pair of Sunglasses lurking just down the street at Civvies. Though I already have 3 working pairs, these are larger and more ornate than any that I own. I wish I could just forget about their perfection...but I really cant.

Ah well...

The boating party

Dear wide brimmed and oh-so-stylish sun hat, why aren't you available for under $50.00?

The Spring/Summer collections are about to (if they have not done so already) hit the shelves. Here are some of my predictions for S/S 2008.
  • Gold jewelry
  • Navy and White (stripes are good)
  • Crisp clean fabrics (cotton and linen)
  • Sleek silhouette
  • Tailored details
  • White canvas and leather
  • Small clutch purses
  • Medium-weight heels (pumps, wedges)
  • Minimal makeup (browns and neutral eyes with a glossy coral lip)
Those may sound a bit vague, but basically what I'm trying to say is that fashion will take a turn back to the simple and refined. The fresh-pressed look will reign supreme as we say a hearty goodbye to slouchy Ugg boots, gaucho pants, T-shirts with ridiculous phrases and messenger bags.

Fashion Prevails - Revised addition

After an in-class critique, here is the final version of Fashion Prevails
